Hey party people,
I’m Andrew Upchurch Burlingame.
It all started with an unexpected offer.
While assisting with sound setup at a company dinner, a colleague casually asked if I had ever tried DJing. Cue the dramatic flash forward and two days later I’m working the turntables at a graduation party. From the minute the first beat dropped, I was hooked.
And it became my life's passion.
From my first guitar strums in the 5th grade (thanks for inspiring me, Drake Bell 😝), to touring with bands in my twenties, music has always been an integral part of who I am. DJing was simply the next evolution. Upchurch Event Co. grew from that realization — and here we are!

I started hosting trivia and fell in love with being an emcee, which eventually led me to DJing — it felt like a natural transition. Soon I started playing for art shows, which transitioned into weddings and larger events.

I wanted to be a huge festival DJ as a kid, because what kid doesn’t?! Well, that never happened. But after DJing at my first frat party, I got hired for a wedding. I fell in love with the energy and now DJ weekly at parties and bars whenever I’m not doing a wedding or event!
